1996
Ideal Window Solutions Established
Ideal Window Solutions was formed in 1996 by Chris Palmer, and we've been supplying and installing quality uPVC, timber and aluminium double glazed windows, doors and conservatories ever since.
1998
The business was incorporated
We became a Limited company!
1999
We moved into premises in Anjou Crescent, Fareham
2000
Secured our first new build order from Berkeley Homes
Renowned building developing firm, Berkeley Homes, chooses IWS as their glazing partner for a new housing development.
2003
Moved into new larger premises in Fareham
2006

2010
IWS acquires a DGCOS Founding Membership
The Double Glazing and Conservatory Scheme (DGCOS) began in 2010 to primarily protect consumers against cowboy builders, specifically for the glazing industry. DGCOS founding membership instils confidence that we are a reputable trader that adheres to strict ethical sales practices, whilst delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
2010
Chichester showroom launch
We gained a new showroom in prime location opposite a major car park and market in Chichester, perfect for all our local residents.
2012
Thom Emerson joins the IWS team
Reflecting the company’s ambitions for further growth, Thom Emerson came on board as a business partner in 2012. Thom had previously worked as Group Marketing Director at MASCO UK Window Group; the UK’s largest manufacturer of uPVC windows and doors. With our roots firmly set in the commercial and new-build sectors, this is the start of expanding our reputation within the domestic sectors.
2014
Head Office relocation & Fareham showroom opening
2014 was a landmark year for the IWS team. Moving to a new Head Office in January 2014, the move was closely followed with the launch of our substantial Fareham showroom on May 31st. The Unity Building Fort Fareham is Hampshire’s largest indoor home improvement showroom of its kind and continues to wow our visitors.
2015
Chichester showroom refurbishment
We refurbished the showroom to showcase even more of our highly sought-after popular coloured products, bifold doors, and a products that also suit conservation areas like our vertical sliders.
